The NBC Sports Bay Area & California All-Star Teacher Award, presented by Provident Credit Union, honors outstanding elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Over the past 15 years, Provident has contributed more than $400,000 to California schools. This year's winning teacher will receive a $30,000 donation for their school and will be celebrated during an NBC Sports broadcast at a San Francisco Giants game.
Nominations
We are currently accepting nominations for teachers who make a difference in their schools and communities. Nomination forms can be found online at NBCSportsBayArea.com/AST. Completed nomination forms must be received no later than Monday, February 5, 2025. Received nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will select five finalists. Voting for your favorite among the finalists can be done online at NBCSportsBayArea.com/AST from April 7 through June 2, 2025.
Finalists will be selected based on four categories: overall commitment, excellence in teaching, rapport with students, and level of distinction.
