Provident SJSU Student Organization Grants

Provident Credit Union is proud to support student organizations at San José State University that are making a difference in their campus community. Through our student organization grant program, we recognize and empower groups that promote education, leadership, cultural awareness, and professional development.

At this year’s ceremony, Joshua Melander, Business Development Manager, presented the grants to the following SJSU student organizations:

• Sigma Theta Psi Multicultural Sorority Inc. – Promotes academic excellence, leadership, and unity among women of diverse backgrounds.
• Science Extravaganza – Sparks an interest in STEM for underrepresented youth in San Jose, inspiring them to pursue higher education and explore opportunities in STEM through continual engagement.
• Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) – Empowers Latino students by providing leadership, networking, and career development opportunities.
• Nutrition and Food Science (NuFS) Club – Supports students interested in nutrition and food science by offering professional development, networking opportunities with local professionals, virtual meetings with guest speakers, job opportunities, workshops, and community volunteer experiences.
• SJSU Sikh Collegiate Federation – Represents Sikhs at SJSU and promotes understanding between Sikh and non-Sikh communities on and off campus.
• San José State University Career Center – Supports students in their career journeys by providing resources, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Braven Club – Equips underrepresented students, including first-generation college students and those from low-income backgrounds, with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to transition from college to strong first jobs and meaningful careers.
