Giving Back at Alameda County Community Food Bank

Team Provident Helped Provide Over 41,000 Meals at Alameda County Community Food Bank

Giving back is part of who we are at Provident Credit Union. Our team recently volunteered at the Alameda County Community Food Bank, where we spent the day sorting produce, organizing donations, and packing boxes of fresh food for local families. We were proud to join other members of the community in the fight against hunger.

Working alongside fellow community-minded volunteers, we helped process an incredible 49,844 pounds of food, equivalent to 41,371 meals. That’s 265 meals provided for every volunteer who participated. We’re proud to support Alameda County Community Food Bank and their mission to end hunger in our community. Since 1985, ACCFB has been a lifeline for families, children, and seniors across the East Bay.

Each year, they distribute millions of healthy meals through a network of food pantries, schools, and local organizations. They continue to be a consistent and compassionate presence for thousands of residents facing food insecurity every day. With every box packed, our team saw firsthand how collective effort can lead to meaningful impact. Organizations like ACCFB are essential to building a stronger, more resilient Bay Area.

Special thank you to all the Provident volunteers who joined this event and contributed their time and energy.
