Senior Information Security Engineer

Job Duties

  • Manage endpoint protection security software, detect, and responds to threats. Provide functional guidance to Analysts and Information Security Engineers on more complex issues as they arise.
  • Lead the vulnerability scanning process, coordinate with infrastructure and application teams to mitigate the risks.
  • Review security reports and determines appropriate steps to secure PCU systems.
  • Lead the effort of remediating the risks identified in the annual IT risk assessments.
  • Document and update management responses to third party security audits and assessments.
  • Drive Effort for completing security review requests within published timeframes.
  • Research and recommend security solutions.
  • Act as project manager for all migration and software updates.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of compliance, regulatory and security practices, issues, and technologies as well as monthly audit of hardware, software and network connectivity inventory, access management and hardening of systems, network devices and connectivity.
  • Responsible for validating security patches have been implemented in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors and lead collaboration with the Training Department to ensure the Credit Union's Security Awareness Program is comprehensive and relevant.
  • Take information from Analysts and Engineers and renders opinion on next steps. Provide recommendations to AVP and VP regarding system changes and upgrades.

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical field and four (4) years of experience maintaining and supporting networks, servers, desktop applications, equipment, connections and Intranet/Internet Co-manage, and monitoring security solutions including  SIEM, Privileged Account Administration, IPS and Firewalls.

  • Knowledge of complex internet applications, troubleshooting network connectivity problems, and installing network and printing hardware on Mac OS and Windows.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity framework, security standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Python and JavaScript, and ability to automate scripts to test/audit system vulnerabilities or security control solutions.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Mac, Windows, and virtual environment, and able to perform risk assessment for different types of operating systems and appliances.
  • Knowledge of CIS, Critical Security Controls.
 

Salary for this position is $157,394 per year
