Text Banking

With Provident's Text Banking tool members have quick and easy access to account balances and recent transaction history for all of their accounts. Once enrolled, members can text one of the commands to the short code 58513 and receive instant real time account information.

How to Enroll

Enrolling in text banking is easy. Simply sign on to online banking and select “Text Banking” from the “Settings” menu. Next agree to the Terms & Conditions, enter the phone number you want to use to access text banking and click add. Message & data rates may apply. The number of messages may vary by user. Check with your mobile service provider for fees and charges. The wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text Banking Commands

  • B [acct] - for balance

  • H [acct] - for transaction history

  • M - for the next 5 transactions (Members are only able to view the most recent 15 transactions)

  • Nick - for a list of all account nicknames

  • Stop - to unenroll from text banking

  • Help - to view this command list

In these commands, [acct] is the account mobile nickname. For example, if you have an account whose nickname is "SAVA", you would get the available balance by sending a "B SAVA" text to 58513. Message and data rates may apply. The number of messages may vary by user. Send STOP to 58513 to unenroll at any time. Send HELP to 58513 for more information.

Managing Accounts

Members can create nicknames for the text banking accounts and these are separate from the nicknames that members can create from the Account details table when viewing account history. Once you have created nicknames for your accounts you can text the command B followed by the nickname to receive the balance for that account. You can also select a primary account and members do not have to enter a nickname when texting for that specific account balance.
