Keeping Safe from Financial Fraud 8/20/2020
According to research cited by the Department of Justice, older adult victims lose $2.9 billion per year to financial exploitation. The purpose of this webinar is to help individuals identify the signs of elder and dependent adult financial abuse, understand common strategies—by phone, in person, and electronically—that scammers use to take advantage of their victims, and empower them to protect their finances.
This webinar is presented by Nicole Fernandez from the San Mateo County Aging and Adult Services, and the Elder and Dependent Adult Protection Team (EDAPT).
