Provident Volunteers at Relay for Life

This past weekend, Provident Credit Union employees proudly volunteered at the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of San José, joining our community in the fight against cancer.

Relay For Life is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of survivors, a remembrance of those we’ve lost, and a powerful reminder of the hope we share as a community. One of the most moving moments of the evening was the Survivor Lap, where survivors and supporters walk the first lap together to honor strength, resilience, and courage. Watching one of our own employees take part in that lap was truly inspiring and highlighted the importance of coming together for this cause.

“Joining the survivor lap was a moving experience that celebrated life, hope, and the strength of those touched by cancer.”

Provident Credit Union has proudly supported Relay For Life since 2018, donating $30,000 to date through sponsorship of our employee team. Each year, we walk side by side with our neighbors, friends, and families to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society’s life-saving research, patient services, and advocacy efforts.

At Provident, we believe in honoring and celebrating our community. Volunteering at Relay For Life gives us the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way and to stand united with those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

We are grateful to all the survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and community members who make Relay For Life such a powerful experience. Together, we are stronger — and together, we can help create a future free from cancer.
