Q.

Will my member number change?

A.

Yes. You will receive a mailing about your new member number in August prior to your accounts moving to Provident's banking system.

Q.

What will happen to my ACH direct deposit and ACH direct debits?

A.

Please contact all vendors that are automatically debiting or crediting your account with your new Provident account number and routing number (321171731). You will receive your new account number in a separate mailing.

Q.

What happens to my monthly statement?

A.

Your final Alameda Credit Union statement will be produced as of September 30th, 2013. If you hold any of the following products, your new Provident statements will be produced as of the following dates:
 

Checking accounts October 31, 2013 (monthly)
Share accounts only December 31, 2013 (quarterly)
Mortgage December 31, 2013 (quarterly)
HELOC November cycle
Credit cards November cycle
Q.

Will I continue to have access to my Alameda Credit Union e-statement website?

A.

Alameda members will continue to have access to the e-statement website for 12 months, ending on September 30th, 2014. We encourage Alameda members to save a copy of their statement to their home computer for future reference. Provident will provide members with a link to their Alameda Credit Union e-Statement website from within our online banking system.

Q.

Which credit union will issue year end tax statements?

A.

1099's – Alameda Credit Union members that are due to receive a tax form will receive a consolidated form from Provident Credit Union. This form will contain your earned interest from Alameda and Provident.

1098's from Home Equity Interest – Alameda members that are due to receive a 1098 from a Home Equity Loan will receive two forms from Provident Credit Union. One 1098 will contain the interest paid while you were a member of Alameda and a second form covering the time you are a Provident member. In future years you will only receive one form from Provident.

5498's and other I.R.A. related tax forms – Alameda Credit Union members that are due to receive an I.R.A. related tax form will receive one consolidated tax form from Provident that will cover the time you were a member of Alameda as well as Provident.

Q.

What will happen to my payroll deduction?

A.

If you have payroll deduction set up, where a portion of your paycheck is deposited into another account, you will need to contact your employer and provide them with your new account information.

Q.

When will I be able to conduct transactions at a Provident Community Branch, CO-OP ATM location, or shared branch location?

A.

You will be able to conduct transactions at any Provident Credit Union branch beginning on October 1st, 2013. Prior to this date you may continue to conduct in branch transactions at the Alameda Credit Union Branch.

Q.

What will happen to the beneficiaries I have elected for my accounts?

A.

Your beneficiaries will remain the same. They will carry over to your new Provident accounts as is.

Q.

Can I open an account or loan at Provident prior to the October 1st, 2013 transfer date?

A.

Yes, you may open accounts or apply for loans prior to the transfer date. Provident will provide product applications at the Alameda Branch location to apply for new accounts. As part of this process, we will close your Alameda Credit Union account, and all existing account balances will be transferred to your Provident accounts.

Q.

What if I already have an account with Provident?

A.

If you already have an account with Provident during the conversion process a separate account will be opened for you that will contain your transferred accounts from Alameda Credit Union.

Q.

What will happen to the Alameda Credit Union Branch Location?

A.

The Alameda Credit Union Branch location will remain open and will be converted to a Provident branch.

Q.

Will there be any changes to the Alameda Branch hours?

A.

Yes. Saturday hours are changing to 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. while Monday-Friday hours will be from 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Also, the Alameda Branch will be closed on Monday, September 30 in order to prepare for the conversion.

Q.

What will happen to the Alameda Credit Union employees?

A.

All employees will have the choice to be employed by Provident.
