How do I avoid the inactive member fee?

There are several ways to avoid the inactive member fee by performing any of the following transactions or account updates:*

• cash or check deposit,
• cash or check withdrawal,
• write a check (and it clears)
• transfer,
• bill payment through Bill Manager online bill pay service,
• open a new Term Share Certificate,
• update your address, e-mail address, or phone number by phone at (800) 632-4600, in branch, within Account Manager online banking, or mail to:

Also, the inactivity fee will not be charged if any of the following conditions are met:

• you are a minor; under the age of 18,
• you currently have regular Automatic Transfers being made from another account,
• you currently have regular Direct Deposit of your paycheck distributed into a Provident account,
• you have an active account that is linked by the same SSN as the primary or joint number,
• your deposit accounts (checking, savings, certificates, etc.) have a total aggregate balance of $500 or more,
• you have a certificate on deposit with Provident, or
• you have a loan product at Provident that you are making payments to, which is attached to the same member number.

* Does not include balance inquiries performed at an ATM or via Touch Tone Teller telephone banking.
