Position Description
Provident Credit Union, a well established financial institution since 1950 is currently seeking a full time Business Development Manager in the Marketing Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in creating and implementing marketing and business development activities and strategies to ensure the achievement of the Credit Union’s objectives and goals.

Specific Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a department of Account Executives
- Hire and train new Account Executives. Training includes product knowledge training as well as presentation and sales skills building
- Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings
- Conduct ongoing sales training sessions
- Develop and implement an on-going business development strategy that utilizes the Account Executives and supports the objectives of the branch network in specific regions
- Assess performance of business strategy and Account Executives through regular tracking of SEG membership patterns and market penetration rates
- Ensure Account Executive performance and sales standards are met and consistently maintained
- Track sales performance of each Account Executive in specified territories
- Provide Account Executives with detailed reports of performance in specified territories
- Develop and maintain relationships with key sponsors
- Maintain master SEG list
- Ensure ONYX CRM system is used to maximum advantage for all business development activities
- Research/implement new strategies to improve penetration within individual SEGs
- Involve Branch Managers in business development activities
- Develop and implement micro marketing plans for outlying community branches
- Identify, coordinate, and participate in community events throughout the Bay Area
- Oversee press releases and related public relations and communications activities
- Coordinate and deliver home buying seminars
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Credit Union’s objectives
- Knowledge of marketing principles and the ability to develop and implement plans and tactics
- Strong organizational and people management skills
- Demonstrated experience in business development strategies
- Knowledge of credit union regulations as they apply to marketing and business development activities
